Briana Scurry was making plans to retire from soccer, excited to end her incredible career on her own terms. The control she had worked so hard to have was suddenly taken away from her in a match in 2010 when she suffered a devastating concussion that suddenly ended her career, and identity, as a professional soccer player. Scurry opens up about the ripple effect that one concussion had on her life, and what she has done in the past few years to take her life back and embrace an identity that chose her - advocate for brain and mental health in sports.
